Jim, I think you are operating CW mode. If that is so, the frequency
offset you see is normal. You are seeing the offset between transmit
and receive which is usually 700 hz depending on bfo alignment.
Enjoy that Omni-C .... very nice radio. 73, -Lee- WA3FIY ------ Original Message ------ From: "Jim C" <1291jim@gmail.com> To: tentec@contesting.com Sent: 4/1/2019 2:29:13 PM Subject: [TenTec] Omni-C Display Accuracy/adjustment Hello, I am a new owner of an Omni-C.I've noticed that when I operate a particular frequency, let's say 7.124.0the reverse beacon has me at 7.123.3 I'd like to know if this a normal variance?I have read that there is a "timebase" adjustment procedure using WWV. Ifthis adjustment is viable, I would like to know if I could adjust thetimebase using the Reverse Beacon Network as my feedback? Or if that wouldthrow something else in the rig out-of-whack? Thanks for your comments, 73, Jim W6JIM _______________________________________________ TenTec mailing list TenTec@contesting.com http://lists.contesting.com/mailman/listinfo/tentec |
