I tried an Omni VII and an Eagle at the old Ten Tec factory station.  I preferred the Eagle, but I bought an Omni VII because I thought I would make frequent use of the keypad frequency entry like I did on my Argonaut II, and my Omni V.  That turned out not to be all that useful a feature, so I got rid of the Omni VII, and bought a used Eagle.  I am very happy with the Eagle, so I will probably buy the new upgraded Eagle instead of the Omni VII+.  The price of the upgraded Eagle is very attractive.

I don't care what the price on an IC-7300 is.

1x OM7+ = 3x IC-7300

or

1x OM7+ = IC-7300 + Linear Amp + Beam

Now let me think....

I was there, checked out the Omni VII+. New front panel, buttons are very
soft in response, I nearly pushed it backwards being used to my
Jupiter...:-). Was told it should be on the website this week. The Eagle
and Argonaut are planned for next. Price on O7+ is $2999, but we will see
what shakes out on the store website. Hope that helps!

I'm curious if anyone was at Dayton and, if so, could give us a report
on the Ten Tec booth.
Thanks & 73,
