I have puled pins and pushed them back in many times.
I used a very tiny screw driver.
I pushed it in from the side where the two parts mate and bent the tiny latch
in towards the middle.
Then I pulled it out from the back side.
After attaching a new wire to it, I carefully bent the tiny latch outwards a
little so that it would latch an hold when I re-inserted the pin.
Just be careful and don't use force.
