I've repaired many cracked Tentec knobs using the "super glue" otherwise known as Eastman 911   Take the knob off of the shaft, remove the set screw, and open the crack(s) a bit using a toothpick.  Then squirt a small amount of super glue in the crack, remove the toothpick.  It may be necessary to work a wedge in between the outer part and the part that goes on the shaft. Allow the glue to cure for 24 hrs or so.  Should be ready to go again.

I recently acquired a 4229 tuner, which has had the Hi-Z/Lo-Z/Bypass knob fail.

Of course it failed on first use, fortunately l had a (non matching) temporary
replacement.

Other gear also uses this knob... the bandswitch on my Corsair II, for one.

If anyone has a spare or three that they are willing to part with, please
contact me off list.

Thanks!
