Make that a VOM, not a COM. Sorry for the typo.

Hi DJ,
I suggest you use your ohmmeter (preferably a COM) to check the
junctions of the bipolar transistors in the regulator circuit. Check
devices from base to collector and base to emitter. Your readings
should be low forward and high in reverse. You'll need to use a meter
that provides a volt or so on its test leads in the ohmmeter position.
Check from emitter to collectors, too. That should reveal any shorts.
If likely good your readings should be high both ways. Do the same
tests on the diodes, even the Zener diodes.
Needless to say, be sure the supply is off and the filter caps are
discharged before making these tests.

Hi All
Could some one let me know if there is a proper schematic for my
TenTec 960 power supply;y ,none I have are proper in terms of parts.
Problem is that I turn on supply , I can Adjust to proper voltage,
but when I put any load on the supply like 1 to 18 amps amp it, the
voltage goes to zero volts.
Take load of it is ok with proper voltage , have two supplies with
same problem.
Sure could use some help on this.
Checked all the parts ,have replaced parts , 723 on all, my brain is
gone .
Thank you for the read
