If I remember correctly, there is a spring tension adjust on the rear
PTO bearing. There are some stacked flat washers used as shims and you
may be able to reduce slippage by removing or adding (I don't remember
which) a pair. The PTO is also sensitive to the grease used. I tried a
light silicon grease and it didn't work at all. You need the Ten Tec
open gear "green grease" or equivalent. Some auto parts stores sell a
green grease, but I haven't tried it, so don't know if it's equivalent.

I've noticed that my Corsair, I can turn the knob slightly, what ought to be say 50Hz of
frequency change--but the dial skit does not move. Like there is slop in the

Been years since I tore one apart, and I did not rebuild this one, so I have no idea
what is in there. All I know is, sporadically it feels like dial lash or
similar while trying to tune in a signal. That little bit of play means I have to
overshoot, then turn back, if not right, repeat.
