Hello All
I'm new to 160 so please forgive the "dumb" questions.....
I have been reading all the comments about 160 early in the
morning, just before sunrise. So, I got up early this morning
and listened. At first all I heard was lightning static. After
tuning around I heard a K5 station conversing with a VK station.
I could just hear the VK station through the s9 noise level.
I guess, if it wasn't for the noise, the VK station would have
been 599? I was using an 80 meter dipole up at about 30 feet.
I have plenty of room but not much height. What kind of antenna
do you recommend?
