We (DK7YY, DL3DXX and friends) will be active on Madeira from 24.to 30.Oct.
Staying together with CT3BX & CT3EE we will use one of the CT3 friends call
sign during the CQWW contest in the multi single category.
There will be some activity after the contest mainly in CW with CT3/homecall.
Location is the Pico da Coroa, a hilltop about 2700 ft. over the Ocean. The
top cannot be reached by car and the way is not easy to go. So activity out-
side the contest is limited but we hope to stay during the nights.
Again we install our 68 ft. high toploaded Titanex vertical for 80 and 160m.
(May be, you remember our winter activity from VK9CR and VK9XY where this
antenna did a great job with 900 QSOs on top band).
Would be interesting to know if there is any need for this country on low
bands? Will try to work some far distant stations on 80 and 160.
Japanese stations:
look for me from our local sunset until sunrise in Japan on 80 3501..3508
and 1822..1825 (QSX 1909..1911). After your sunrise I will try 40 meters CW.
Maybe a good equipped European station (DJ7AA?) can give some help on the QRG.
There is to do some antenna work before the contest. So I believe we will
be on the air first at local Friday evening - anyway there is a chance
for Japan before the contest. If I hear some JA in their 160m-window during
the contest in CW I promise to answer the call. Also hope to be there at
Monday and Thuesday night, maybe Wednesday.

leave Wednesday afternoon Oct. 23.
