Your reply misses the point, Mark.  1850 +/- 1 or 2 is clearly not available
for general SSB DXing.  As topband DX activity (both CW and SSB) increases
worldwide, creating the need for more space, it will have to skip over 1850
and continue above that because of the passionately held concept that 1850 is
an "owned" frequency.  Let the 1850 crowd continue to claim and defend the
frequency if that is how they wish to enjoy the hobby.  How is this any
different than working around foreign broadcast stations on 40-meter SSB?  I
take the open-minded view that this is just one of the many interesting
challenges of DXing on the top band.

Obviously KS2D is unaware of what takes place on 1.850.  If qso's 
with Europe, Asia, Mid-East, West Coast and the South Pacific are "Local"
then I guess the group is guilty as accused.  Also, it seems to me that
I've heard KS2D on 1.850. A belated welcome to the group of "local" yackers
sir.
