Another big opening to South Africa on
the TopBand Nov 19 utc. Had to work
late and got the balloon vertical up
at 0310. Tuned to 1.836 and there was
ZS4TX booming in with a huge pileup
on 1.838. After a couple of calls Bernie
came back to me at 0320 with a 599 rpt.
After three years of trying to work ZS on
160M it almost seemed easy! Thanks
to Bernie for his sharp operating and
the KS wind for taking the night off and
letting me have a memorable contact
on the TopBand.
