Looks like Santa Klaus has had a nice xmas present for me and other
mid. Eus. After a very poor night on topband (East Coast weak but no
QRN here) suddenly the band opened arround 5z to the west and middle
west NA. Best signals came from the W5 area. All in all a great
morning with a lot of states on the band
(CA,AZ,TX,WA,WI,OK,UT,MN,NV,CO,MT,KS,MS,MI,OR were some of
them). Interesting to see that SM5EDX had no propagation and DJ7AA
(300km north of me) could hear but not get through. Signals were best
on my 300m 2 wire Beverage (90 /270 ) pointing to the
carribbian. Comparing my two Beverages to NA, the longer onces was
better (270m /150m) maybe this indicates low angle propagation with a
path more south as usual!? Any experiance about that this morning
from US side ? While the east coast opening on Monday 23. it was the
short Beverage which made it.
