Hi all, just look what a k of 0 and a flux of 69 can do for us here in the
north.
For several mornings we have been working eu with descent sigs, but
I never would have thought i would work into africa. But this
morning at 17:15z out of the noise came a reply from my cq'ing -
ZS4TX! The qsb was very rapid but the band was also very quite up
here. After several attempts we finally made it.
I'm not sure whether this was long-path , but in any case it is in
my opinion
a rare case to work ZS at any time from here. I also hear IT9ZGY in
the clear as well (no qso). Also worked was OZ7C and GW4JXN about 15
min before ZS4TX, I think that maybe the sigs were over the north
pole judging from the stations worked during that period of time. I
was also heard by 2 SV's but I never heard them here. This QSO will
be a 'feather in my cap' for a long time! cu on THE band 73
AL7MX Kevin ..
