Garry, Don't feel too awful bad.
It's happened to me a few times.
Once on DxCluster (which got me temp.
banned from the YCCC until I proved it
was not me making rude comments) Once on a local BBS, and once
at least that I can think of on 20m CW working
JA's (I have the cards to prove it.)
Anyone that is even the tiniest bit enviable or who
has a recognizeable callsign. (mine, urs)
will at one time or another be subject to this.
Oh, I just remembered, It also happened once
when I was still ve1mq and doing quite a bit of
local IOTA-ing, which leads me to believe that
it's a local ve1/ve9....Oh well. It's usually someone
you know, or is at least in the same call area
due to beam headings, prop, and they "should"
know a little about you in case they are asked some on
the air questions........sick -huh?
