K1HTV 1/2 way to 300 on 160M
What a surprise I got Saturday evening. While tuning around the Top Band in
our post sunset period looking for VK0IR I heard OX3PA working another MD
station. After calling in a 2 station pileup with Bill, W4ZV (guess who won)
.....and after Bill signed, I managed to work OX3SA for another new country.
That makes Top Band country #150 with 100 Watts! 8-)
I notified Sid, K3SME who chased around for Sven for awhile. After not
finding him I suggested that he call a CQ and sure enough, OX3SA came back
to Sid to give him another new one and stay a few countries ahead of me in
our race to 300 on 160M. (Maybe we should set our sights a bit lower, huh?)
