Listened from 0130 to 0230. several pileups heard, could not hear DX stns.
Heard weak DX on 1828 and 1837- 1837 station ran long pileup up 2, but
signal never got strong enuff for me to copy.
On again around 06Z. several weak signals coming thru but all with VERY deep
QSB- almost auroral. Peaks often loud enuff to push s meter, but bottoms
below the noise. Finally resolved into a pretty good opening, but with very
heavy QSB,
worked a good list for so cal:
OZ7YY; ON4UN (Loud enuff city locals heard you for a little while, John);
DJ4SO; G3PQA; G4BUE; G3FPQ; by now (0800) sigs steadied down but really
weak CT1FGW; GW3JXN.
HEARD: 6W6JX who left at 0635 while still climbing; ON4ACG; ON7TK; 2 more G
but didn't get calls complete.
EU OPS NOTE PLEASE:::: Please don't pick exact round 10 kHz freqs- US
stations very often have broadcast products to listen thru. In particular
1830.00 (please note ON7TK) and 1840.00. 200Hz is often enuff to make the
diff between copy and wishing.
hope the contest weekend is at least this good,
