FYI, there is an interesting article in the arrl ANTENNA COMPENDIUM,
Vol 2, Pg 42: "A Multiband Loaded Counterpoise for Vertical Antennas."
The author, H. L. Ley, N3CDR also gave reference to L. A. Moxon, G6XN,
book: "HF Antennas for All Locations. This approach has caught my
interest, since I just don't have the room for a "full size" radial
system on 160m.
N3CDR states that his 1/8th wave loaded counterpoise compairs very
closely, signal wise, to a 10 radial system.
