What does this have to do with 160???????????????? I will just have to
endure the wrath of Herr Administrator this time for this short response.
WA1EKV (now K1KW) could always beat W1CF and his xxKW into EU any day of
the week...which is what Chuck was after. At only 120' the 3 el was not
SUPPOSED to be a JA type of antenna. Chuck preferred to rag chew with EU,
not compete with Dana or W2HCW's 3CX10000A7 on a 15 minute long path
opening. On 75M (and 160 too) not all are created equal...blatant
illegal power is prevalent.
Chucks 3 el is down now and replaced (for now) by a dipole at 180'. He
still shows on 3795 occasionally but is mostly up on AM these days. If
anyone has comments for Chuck please private mail them to me......I see
him regularly for "Mexican Fridays".
Enuf for 80M lets get back to 160...........PLEASE
