A 160m bandplan - what for?
Hi folks,
Those of you complaining about the *window* not being observed in the
contest consider the situation in EU. It is even worse here...
Last night (in the SSB-contest) I took some notes:
Freq (kHz): Stn-Prefix:
1806.1 UU4,
1807.5 4N7,
1808.2 OK1,
1808.4 LZ2, IV3, 5B4, T93, etc.
1809.1 HB9,
1810.1 PA3, I4,
1810.2 OY9, DF6, DL6, DF8, DK5, DL9, DL1, etc.
1810.3 YU7,
1811.0 HB9, DJ4,
1812.0 PA0, IK4, OZ9, etc.
1813.4 SK6, LZ2,
Some 100 more were observed between 1813...1840 kHz during 3 hours only.
Why does the IARU set up recommendations when they are not followed...
Unless the contest committees do something the situation will not change!
When you check the list above you will notice that quite a few stations
did not even care transmitting on frequencies way outside of their allowed
spectrum to gain some points...
Forget the IARU-Region1 bandplan for 160? No!!! But it does not work!!!
For those of you interested in the bandplan here it is (160m frequencies
only):
