KJ9C central Indiana
Last night (0400 to 0445 Z on April 10) was great to the midwest. Looking
at the packet cluster I was apprehensive, as there were no posts from the
east coast (usually a sign of activity to Europe), so I figured the solar
eruption had finally taken its toll....
But very strong signals were present from at least three stations, most
for ten-twenty minutes, but IT9ZGY peaked at S9+20DB and stayed very
strong for over a half hour. Easy contact. DF2PY stayed strong for about
twenty-25 minutes but ONLY S9 on the TS-940's S meter and a ewe with preamp.
IT9INO peaked very high but faded fast, and DK7SU made his first
appearance on 160 this year (that I know of) and peaked about S7 on meter here.
Also worked OK and SV, but not as strong
The season ain't dead yet!!!
