I really enjoy the great exchanges with vertical ants. One day I will
live in a bigger lot that would allow me to get to 5/8 wave or so. I was
wondering what the thoughts were about that short vertical ant. made by
Unihat ? I have one of those and I am amazed at its performance for 31
eet high. I have modified it slightly with a motorized vacuum variable
to allow the entire use of the 160 band. I have a vacuum switch to
disconnect the 40M element. I discovered with my MFJ-259 that there was
a better match at 160M. What was nice to see was that the radiation res.
of the ant. is 50 ohms. I get a lot of good sig reports with this ant.
