Greetings, September 12th. Listened 1030/1100z nothing but static crashes.
The QRN has been very bad over the past week and at the moment is hitting
just over the nine. 1245/1305z had QSO's with W7LR, N7NG, VE3IY/7 and
N7UA...then nil on the band...no W6. This morning 2130/2220z band very
patchy. Had QSO's with OH5VT and DL3DXX...VE1ZZ called and gave a report but
not sure he recieved his from me. At least, with Jack coming through there
are signs of the Summer season beginning. Heard a station with ?A6N? call
but was unable to pull through the QRN. Also heard stations calling 3V8BB
but no trace here. VK6IP is now on the band and is in the process of putting
up better antennas for 160 on his 16 acre lot. Rumour has it that Bill
VK6ACY will have a full sized 4 square up by Christmas!
