YS1X operation to start Jan. 24th.
The DX-group from Finland, originally aiming to activate Guatemala, has now
crossed the border of El Salvador and will activate this, especially for
Europeans, rare DXCC country. TG0OH and TG7/OH3JF operations have been
cancelled.
Details of the operation:
Time: Saturday 24.1.- Friday 6.2.1998. for 13 days. Operation
starts approx. at 17-18 Z on Saturday, 24th.
QTH: Near the City of San Salvador, at the QTH of Raymundo,
YS1RRD. YS1X the "contest" call sign of YS1RRD.

Operation activity:
One station on for 24 hours per day. Second and third
stations on at least 16 hours per day. Forth (QRP)
station occasionally.
Operation strategy:
1. Split operation
2. QSO target: 20.000 QSO's
3. Mode preference: CW 60 %, SSB 35 %, RTTY 5 %
4. Band preference: 160m, 80m, WARC's (30/17/12) 40m
5. Area preference: Europe, Far East
