A major delightful surprise in the WPX tonight--AZ4F appeared on 1832,
two hours before the timeslot indicated in a recent message from LU7DW,
relayed to the Reflector by WD4JRA. His surprisingly loud signal was
posted here on the West Coast by N6FF at 0422Z, and many leftcoasters
made the QSO.
AZ4F appeared not to hear as well as the statesiders calling him, often
requiring many repeats to get calls correctly. He started to slide an
hour later, but kept CQing.
My thanks to John, WD4JRA and Dick, N6FF for the heads-up. That was the
first Argentine I have heard on topband--much less worked.
