XZ1N "short path" has been consistently SW at this location, always
vertical, and always readable on both the 4 square (SW) and Beverages (W
and SW), peaking before daybreak many days. They have had a very consistent
signal considering the path and distance.
As usual with 160, the key is to try several antennas and also try at "off
times", not just at dawn. Many days VK3ZL and others will be well over S-9
early on, only to disappear near sunrise. The JA's and VK's, and even XZ1N
did that today. They just died as the sun started to illuminate the sky
overhead.
GL on the final days.
