KL7XX QSL card says QTH as "Deadhorse, Alaska" 71 deg N - 148 West.
He operates from the Prudhoe Bay oilfield.
- Jon N0JK

(de W4ZV)..Since KL7XX is above the Arctic Circle (~67 degrees North),
he is in perpetual darkness now and therefore Topband QSO's are
possible ANY time of day that the other end of the path is in darkness.

Yes indeed, at noon (11-12Z) I have worked KL7 myself and I am
66 degs north, quite common and no mystery, 73, Jim SM2EKM
