I also use the 9:1 Mini Circuits on my Beverages and they seem to work
fine. I measure 20 to 25 dB return loss on each Beverage so the match is
very good. My only concern would be in an area that had a lot of
lightning. The Mini Circuits transformers are only rated for +24 dBm and a
nearby hit could easily fry them.
I don't know of any other reason to use the large 43 material cores.
