First, thanks to all who commented privately on my NIL views.
Second, Wayne, N7NG offered a very good comment on one of my
"exceptions"--where the caller's acknowledgment of the DX station's
comeback is not heard by the DX station. I said I would tend to log it;
Wayne points out that one could not be sure the caller heard the DX at
all--some people who don't hear just blind-call and then send a QSL. I
think he is basically right, but I also think each case deserves
consideration on its merits--it's not a perfect world.
