Here at the Dayton Hamvention Yaesu unveiled their latest new product -
the Mark-V FT-1000MP. It looks identical to the present MP, but here are
the five main things the Mark-V has that the present MP doesn't:
1) 200 watts PEP output
2) Class-A PA operation
3) IDBT: Interlocked Digital Bandwidth Tracking System
4) VRF: Variable RF Front-end Filter
5) Enhanced Ergonomics: Multi-function Shuttle Jog Dial
When I have more time, I'll elaborate on the five above items plus any
other improvements. Right now I'm hurrying to get ready to attend the
topband dinner.
