How important is having a COS length when using a two wire beverage? I am
having a difficult time understanding why it would have any effect since a
two wire beverage is unterminated and would (to me anyway) seem to rely
completely on stray pick up and balance of the transformers for F/B
characteristics. Any comments or practical experience would be appreciated.

I'm refering to a real beverage of at least 1 wavelength on 160 meters.

P.S. "COS" = W1WCR's Cone of Silence...de W4ZV
