I have done a "limited" analysis of my 4S7RPG results over a 4 yr period.
Just wish I had kept a more detailed record of nil QSOs !!
Unfortunately I am currently unable to compare actual sunrise times with the
info but the following should stimulate the debate !
Most QSOs were EU during both periods and only had 3 QSOs with NA which was
actually at sunrise.
Of 40 (minimum!) activity sessions percentage QSO success rate !!
1930-2230 hr period - 190 total QSO's
1930-2230 hr period - No QSO's 17 out of 40 times
1930-2230 hr period - 1-2 QSO's 8 out of 40 times
1930-2230 hr period - 3-7 QSO's 7 out of 40 times
1930-2230 hr period - 8-22 QSO's 8 out of 40 times
0000-0115 hr sunrise period - 38 total QSO's
0000-0115 hr sunrise period - No QSO's 28 times out of 40 times
0000-0115 hr sunrise period - 1-2 QSO's 7 times out of 40 times
0000-0115 hr sunrise period - 3-7 QSO's 5 times out of 40 times
(best sunrise openings Dec 22, Dec 24-96, & Jan 4-97)
I think the above can indicate my frustration !!
