I had a humbling experience with KH6DX/M during the recent CQ 160 CW
contest. I was operating from W6UE in Pasadena using 1000 watts to a dipole
at 90 feet. KH6DX/M beat me out in a pileup for V73CW. In fact I never did get
the V73. I've seen his truck at the local HRO in Burbank - its a big dually
with
an extended cab and a bug catcher on the back. If I not mistaken, he mountain
tops in the San Gabriels just north of Los Angeles. There are some great
locations up there and its very quiet.
