Doug,
Putting much above the beam is probably not worth the effort. Please
consider
putting horizontal stingers on both ends of the beam's boom. You might
be able
to make up for the loss of capacity hat effect of the beam's insulated
elements. Since these horizontal stingers are not supporting anything
except
themselves they can be lightweight and even guyed with vertical lift up
to the
rotating mast above and also back to the beam elements with small nylon
line for
more support. Since the horizontal stingers are perpendicular to the
beam's
elements interaction will not be an issue.
