Hi Earl, Try the following web sites for Beverage info;
http://www.qsl.net/k1fz/
http://www.geocities.com/CapeCanaveral/1138/bev-page.html
http://www.exit109.com/~kz2s/bev_arrays/
Don't waist too much time with a North Beverage. Too much auroral zone
absorption.
Great antenna for 160! Enjoy! 73s, Dick W1ZC

Subject: Topband: requesting help on beverage construction
I live on a family farm of about 23 acres west of Ogden, Utah.
Surveying the lay of the land I can erect beverage antennas that can
orient from aprroximately 240 degrees to almost straight north. The
other directions are impossible because of established roads and
buildings. Any suggestions on best direction for me. I can go 540 feet
easily (even up to double that distance). How long?
What about balun for matching beverage to 50 ohm unbalanced line?
Where can the balun and resistor be purchased? Your comments and
suggestions will be gratefully accepted.
