The pennant and flag are vertically-oriented versions of "Beverage's Other
Antenna." The K9AY loop and EWE can be considered as equivalent ground-image
versions.
I have extensively modeled the design, but the problem with using it in the
original horizontal configuration is its proximity to ground. While this
arrangement has some F/B, its maximum radiation/reception is directly overhead.
Beverage intended the antenna to be used for VHF reception of that new-fangled
mode called television. This was before the Yagi-Uda and log periodic...
