Topbanders:
Conditions apparently were pretty good last night and QRN was down a bit.
Three stations in California reported reception: W6OAR, W6AJJ, and N6FF. The
furtherest reception to the east was by W1FV is eastern Massachusetts. Too
many reports to list now because I'm immediately leaving for a radio club
meeting three hours away. The beacon was pretty well behaved last night
staying close to 1802.2. It will be on all night again tonight before going
QRT Sunday morning. Thanks for all the reports which I'll sumarize Sunday
morning. To answer a couple of questions, I'm using an Oak Hills Research
QRP watt meter in the 0-100 mw range to check power. It's quite reliable.
The 100' shunt fed, top loaded (with a wide spaced 20M 3 el beam on top)
tower is fed with almost 300' of quality CCI/Saxton 8421 RG-8 type cable, not
hardline, so there is some attenuation there.
