Topband: K9AY Loop Antenna

I apologize if this subject has already been talked up but I am interested
in comments from folks who have built and tried the K9AY Loop antenna.

I followed the info on both the Flag and Pennant with much interest but
after revisiting the subject of receive antennas have decided to take a
closer look at the K9AY.

One point of interest to me in particular is, "how well will it work when
constructed in a dry desert environment?
