Greetings TopBandits, Contesters, and De-Hexers,
The warm up 160M CW contest is over, the 10M contest has gasped its last
for this year which means there are very few serious contests to redeem
yourselves for this calendar year. The Boring Amateur Radio Club
presents for your enjoyment the 7th running of The Stew Perry TopBand DX
Challenge 1500Z 28 Dec until 1500Z 29 Dec of this very year. I'm talking
about 2 weeks away, Bucko! If you have the intellect, hormone levels and
intestinal fortitude, or even one out of the three to read this far,
then journey over to the web site for the full information:
http://jzap.com/k7rat/stew.html
This contest is unique in that the Contesters decide what plaques
are important. The Stalwarts listed below have contacted me and pledged
not only the paltry $50.00 for the plaque, but have decided which
categories are important enough to be recognized among their peers. Most
of these Stalwarts have already sent their monies to the address below,
ensuring that the Greatness will be enshrined. You too, can be among
these Supporters, jockeying for the best class(es) of The Stew Perry
TopBand DX Challenge by a simple e-mail to me, notifying the Club what
you'd like to sponsor.

The solar flux has gasped just above the 203 mark as I write this,
and, I suspect, will continue on its downward spiral which causes
gastric irritation among the 6M enthusiasts, but portends good things
for the TopBand Players. If you don't believe me, then just try it for
yourselves. A full Wash/Rinse/Spin Dry cycle only takes roughly 11 years
to complete, so you might as well join in the Stew Perry TopBand fray
along the way.
Get up, Get on, Get Alive for this most excellent Contest. The
Beverages will be awaiting you.
73 and I remain,
Lew Sayre W7EW/W7AT
