> Yes, when it's all you can do, you do it. Around 1963 or 64 I worked W6, G, DL, VK and several South American's with a Globe Scout 65 and a dipole at 30ft. Very few people even thought of Inverted L's, or even of using an amp. W2EQS was one of the top country total stations with only a low dipole.
