Apparently I missed the deadline for the SWL contest log ;-). A snip of N2XE is at: http://www.w8ji.com/Sound/N2XE%20122304.wav The 1 mW 80 meter signal is quite readable here, which is not surprising if the transmitting antenna has any efficiency at all. On a quiet winter night last year W8LRL was readable here and I am readable at his QTH with significantly less than 500 microwatts. I think we were actually down less than 100 microwatts, if I remember correctly. W4ZV was playing with this last year. I'm not sure what Bill's ultimate miles per watt distance was. 73 Tom _______________________________________________ Topband mailing list Topband@contesting.com http://lists.contesting.com/mailman/listinfo/topband |
