My EWE's didn't work worth a !@#$% during the CQ 160 cotest, so I'm
looking for help. I'm using KD9SV boxes and RG-59 -- no run is longer than 100 ft. I've used Gary's preamps and an ICE 135B preamp. The NE firing one runs over a dead incoming telephone feeder line and is ~ 25 feet from the TX antenna (1/4 wave inverted L wioth 21 radials) The W firing one uns over my neioghbors live incoming telephone feed and is ~ 10 feet from the TX antenna The ground rods are 2' x 3/8" (approx 20" in the ground) As much as I'd like to, my backyard geography (the entire lot is 40x140) won't let me put up K9AY loops or pennants/flags, as my wife, kids or I would trip over and take down or /be killed by the bottom part of any loop. I' ve thought about those 8x8 vertical loops to put on my deck, but am not convinced. Any thoughts or ideas? Thanks in advance, Eric W3DQ Washingon, DC -- No virus found in this outgoing message.
