Hi Herb,
When I was in Durban as ZS5K, I was in a similar situation in that I could only
run a Bev in one direction away from the shack. What I did was to put a small
relay at each end which switched to a termination in the unpowered state, and
to a coax feed in the powered state. I ran a coax from each end to the shack,
where I had an antenna switch. I inserted DC on to the coax, so that which
ever one was switched in powered the correct relay.
Worked pretty well for me.
