No AC power all night due to a violent storm (still raging) but at 0500 GMT
the power finally came back. Immidiately switched on the radio and heard
very good signals from the west coast, and even a KH6 working K7RL. Did not
get the full callsign of the KH6 due to QSB and the short time that he was
there.
K7RL, W6RJ, VE6WZ, VE7UZ were heard with good sigs working other stations.
Switched on the amplifier and started to call CQ, and guess what.. I lost
AC power again due to the storm. So, that was the end of that...
But the inspiring thing was to see that with a few days of very low
geomagnetic activity, conditions on top band at lat 65.4N can be OK.
