So far, the new country bell had mostly been gathering rust here in
Boring, Oregon. However, we did get to finally ring it with a QSO
with HB0/DL2OBO a couple of weeks ago.
Last night, VP8/LZ1UQ was makking it up to Oregon and just before his
normal QRT time of 0300, he worked both me and W7LR. Look for him
between 0200 and 0300 around 1825.5. This is the South Shetland
Islands.
XT2C, who seemed to be hearing me earlier in the week but QRT'd before
we could make a QSO was on again last night, but their signal never was
good enough to even try calling. I understand tonight is their last
night before leaving.
No sign of the VU7 yet, although I was able to put them into the 80
meter log around 1400 this morning - coming in from the SW. Was amazed
to be beat out by N6AR before working them (N6AR lives in Florida and
obviously they just had my call wrong).
Starting to get the station QRV for a repeat multi-single in the CQ 160
with K6AW and N0AX visiting.

I still have no clue what this noise is. Does anyone out there have any
