Everyone should also keep in mind there often is no peak at 
all at sunrise. Many times the peak is at sunset on the 
eastern end of the path, sometimes it is in between sunrise 
on the east end of the path and sunset on the west end of 
the path.

There is often a noise level minimum at sunset or sunrise, 
and that can give the illusion of a signal peak when it is 
really a noise drop.
