Most likely we (V26B) were one of them. Until you operate down here, it is
hard to understand why stations thousands of miles away can hear you but
stations in the Caribbean cannot.
Being my first trip here, it was a real eye-opener. Especially with the
storms over us all weekend, the static on 160 was just burying signals
coming from the USA, even with a 450' Beverage on the USA.
The 600' Beverage to Europe worked very well, at least on 80m. We think we
need to move the USA Beverage next time; there is too much metal junk around
it.
