To all the boffins out there:
Is it possible that a good pre-selector (band pass filter) in front of your
favourite receiver may improve your rx in general on top band, even though
you have no reason to believe that strong short-wave or BC stations are
causing intermods in your receiver?
Even if you have a reasonable radio with a good front end and you are using
the attenuator? The radio also have a built in pre-selector (FT1000 MP MP
MKV)

I have recently obtained a old Racal M197C preselector/protector  by chance
but have not had the opportunity to play with it, so therefore this
question.
