Also check surplus houses. For example, Skycraft in Orlando FL
(www.skycraftsurplus.com) lists a 1000' spool of teflon covered
#22 for $20.00. Last time I was in the store they also had 500'
spools of bare #16 stranded copper (braided) and PVC insulated #18
(if I recall correctly) for < $20 per roll.
