Yes, conditions were stinko. NR6O (N6RO) is about 100 miles from me. I 
spent a lot of time on 40 and 80, but only went to 160 long enough to grab 
Ken's mult. Didn't even tune up the amp. 40 was OK to the Pacific, but 
stinko to EU. 80 was stinko to everywhere. I managed to work 50 or so DX 
stations, but it took a lot of work. While working Ken, I heard W4ZV, his 
signal about as usual -- not loud, but solid. Would have been to trouble 
to work him if I had turned on the amp. 

So count the lousy weekend to a combination of poor activity and poor 
conditions.

BTW -- when you're working N6RO on on 160, it's a full-size wire 4-square, 
Beverages, and a great operator.
