I have followed this thread with some interest. My contribution is
informational.
This morning I went to the Massillon Ohio hamfest. One of the vendors
had a display of various single band mobile antennas. Included was one
for 160 meters.
I have no detailed knowledge, experience, or testimonials of SUPREME
VICTORY or the AGONY OF DEFEAT with these antennas! Here is a URL for JDC

counties himself a long time ago, and has considerable experience with
mobile operation himself.
