Last night - the band was surprisingly good for being this late in the
season. UY0ZG was coming through and I got a few "?"s from him when I
was calling. Later, I worked SM7BIC, HA9RE, G3JMJ, DF2PY and DL1AWR. The
two German stations were peaking 579!! Wolf, DF2PY, said I was 589 on his
TX antenna. The family was watching a old fashioned VCR tape last night and
my TX signal gets into the tape heads, so I couldn't stick around for some
of the activity that took place later.
Signals were coming in over the pole here - and SM7BIC reported that the
east coast was not coming in as well as I was.
With a few DX peditions showing up, there might be some juicy stuff on the
band in the next couple of weeks.
